Global Ayurveda Festival – Kerala (GAF) is a biennial get together of the Ayurveda fraternity in the State of Kerala, where Ayurveda has retained its traditional sanctity. The virgin form of Ayurveda in Kerala has been augmented with immense regional innovations and improvements to take the shape and form that we see today, popular as Kerala Ayurveda. The GAF has established itself as a vibrant platform with a mandate to galvanize the Ayurveda sector to aspire, plan and achieve greater heights, both nationally and internationally. It is not conceived merely as another conference or expo but a popular resurgence to venerate the glory and splendour of a living heritage that every Ayurveda exponent and fan will feel proud to embrace.
GAF is the largest ever gathering of practioners, researchers, producers and service providers of Ayurveda from acrossthe globe.The five full days of deliberations and interactions brought a sense of fulfillment not just to the stakeholders ofthe mega event, but also to each and everyone among the common man who visited a variety of venues . The GAF in fact witnessed a resurgence of the traditional healthcare system, even as celebrating the contributions offered by the stalwarts of the traditional system of medicine over the years. A total of 3,870 delegates from different parts of the country and from abroad, an array of Political and Social luminaries, and about 250 Ayurveda industrial houses and large number of visiting public made this five day event a memorable one in the modern history of Ayurveda. Apart from a 50 member Sri Lankan delegation led by the nation’s two Ministers, delegations from Germany, Argentina, the UK, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Portugal, Malaysia and many more arrived to be part of the global conclave.
