First batch of the two-day training series on the fundamentals of organic farming was held with all euphoria on 17, 18 at the seminar hall of CISSA. There were 25 enthusiastic participants. Many were bearing immense of life experience and were retired from prominent positions. Some were ardent scholars. There were housewives and NRIs who were keen to find a good investment in organic way of farming. The two-day excitement scaled its pinnacle with captivating lessons being handed over by three faculties, handpicked from the domain of eminence. Dr. CK Peethambaran, Prof. P. Raghunath and Dr. NG Balachandranath did the magic of transforming their students into novices, well capable in organic farming. Furthering their enthusiasm was General Secretary of CISSA, Dr. C. Suresh Kumar who unveiled the venomous veils around the modern day food. He called at his listeners to make a go back to the good old traditional food and culinary. The participants have decided to continue their studies on different aspects of farming at CISSA.
