Mass awareness programme on lightning protection was held on the date 19th of September at NS L.P School Eramalloor, Alappuzha. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.V. Sasikumar at 10.30 am, Mr.N.K Rajeevan said the inaugural speech followed by the ezhupunna grama panchayat members Ms.Sarasamma and Ms.Aneese rafel.
The session started with playing the video prepared by LARC on lightning protection.
The video presentation lasted for half an hour, then tea and snacks were served for the participants. After the tea break the next session started by Dr.Murali das by showing different cases of lightning accidents all over Kerala, following explanation of phenomenon of lightning. Many questions were asked by the audience like there is any problem inputting metal roofs, wearing gold chains and using phone during lightning. All the questions were answered with good explanation. The programme ended at 2 pm, vote of thanks was said by Mr.Rajeevan and lunch were served for the participants.
