Exciting additions to biodiversity

The Hindu along with other major national dailies had published exciting information on the addition of 450 new entrants to Indian biodiversity in the year 2015. 19 percent of these are reported from eastern Himalaya region. Mushrooms that thrive at an altitude of 2829 meters from sea level to new species of frog and fish – both from Western Ghats are among the new additions.
