Project coordinator for UNU RCE, Mr Sachin Sathyarajan conducted a session for CET students on the creation of low carbon campuses in Trivandrum. CET is one of the institutions in the city to pioneer carbon footprint study in its campus. Active interventions in the Energy utilization, transport, biodiversity and waste management in the campus were stressed to achieve a carbon neutral campus. “Trivandrum is a city that has the potential to go the Bhutan way of being carbon negative, considering our human and natural resources”, says Mr. Sachin.
The other day, he also spent time with students of St. Thomas School organizing Kerala Model United Nations for school children in Thiruvananthapuram in association with UNU RCE.
